Man Turns Backyard into a Dog Paradise
What is it in life that you would go that extra mile for? A lot of people invest their time and effort in issues like business, family, children, career, ministry, and so on – but not so for Aaron Franks who will do anything for his lovely dogs. People do a lot for their pets; they love them, play with them, take them for walks, feed them, and ensure that they are comfortable. However, Aaron Franks who lives in Pennsylvania felt that for his four large dogs what he was already doing was not enough and he needed to show some more love.
Going way above and beyond buying toys and normal treats like many pet owners, Aaron spent two years in a project that would turn his backyard into a huge, modernized custom playground for his dogs. I am almost sure that no other pet play and resting haven matches this one worldwide. Believe me, you would want to hang there too.
Interesting Things People do for Their Pets
According to a 2012 survey by National Pet Owners, about 73 million households – over 60 percent – in the US keep pets. Families can decide to keep pets for reasons including physical attractiveness, while for others, it’s because of their playful nature or other unique characteristics or personalities. Others, however, keep pets for companionship. Pets, including dogs, increase their owners’ passion for outdoor and exercising activities as they have to regularly walk them. Dogs also enable their owners to meet and to socialize with other dog keepers thus expanding their friend’s circles and enriching life. Maybe that’s the reason pet owners feel they need to treat their pets perfectly.
George W. Bush is known to have adopted a cat he named Bob that has now become part of his family. One can just imagine the kind of attention Bob gets. Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook founder, has a dog named Beast, who accompanies him almost everywhere he goes. The dog has a Facebook page and more friends than many of us on the social media platform. Paris Hilton had a model mansion made for her favorite Chihuahua named Tinker Bell. Leona Helmsley, a self-made millionaire jailed for tax evasion, left a whopping $12 million for her dog, a Maltese named Trouble, for care and good grooming. Her grandchildren received less than half the amount left to the dog.
Aaron Franks on Living with Four Dogs
In today’s modern world, pets especially dogs, are increasingly becoming a part of the family. We get connected to them and they become like children to us. As such, people who love pets can do many things for them to ensure they are happy and healthy at all times. It would be just right to add Aaron Franks to the list above. Aaron lives with 4 dogs named Tessa, Bruno, Cooper, and Mia.
The Fantastic Dog Paradise Idea
Realizing that he needed to do more for his pets, Aaron came up with an idea to transform his backyard into something cool for them. It was a way of showing his love for them. With no prior construction experience, Aaron has single handedly constructed a paradise for his dogs. According to him, the place is cool and the dogs love it. The two older dogs love hanging out and laying around there. To the other two, it’s like a romp room that they can’t get enough of. They go up and down, jump, play around, and swing.
The Dog Paradise – Large Playground with Private Pool
Looking at the playground, you would be forgiven for feeling jealous of its occupants. Other pets would too. You just can’t help it. After the idea, Aaron says he didn’t have any plan for how he would go about the construction but he got into action anyway. After a successful project, his deck and backyard is now a three-storied cool dog house.
The Top Level
The top level is the deck that is a lovely place for the dogs to take a relaxing sunbath.
The Second Level
Going down is the second-level. On this level, the dogs can go inside the structure for a cool nap or choose to enjoy the outside view through the windows to see what’s happening outside. These canines could be some of the luckiest in the world ever since their owner decided to love them in action. They are living a life that any dog would dream of in their three-storied paradise. Take a look at some pictures of the three-storied playground second level.
Complete Pups Playground
And when the pups decide to do tug of war – no stress – their paradise has more than enough ropes to swing and play with.
The Bottom Level
When they leave the second level, they can go down another incline to the bottom level. Here they can take a dip in the pool to cool off. The level has another room just in case the dogs get tired of swimming. See below. What do you think – cool, huh?
Taking almost the entire backyard, the dog paradise has a room for the dogs to do their business with a complete fire hydrant. Take a look!
Night Time Lighting
At night, the dog paradise lights up with electricity. Aaron says is so that the lucky dogs can use the playground anytime they want, day and night – no limitations.
It’s not clear whether its Bruno, Tessa, Mia or Cooper in the photo below, but they seem comfortable and happy with what their owner has done for them. Maybe we could be right by saying they have felt the love.
